Even after 74 years still in front of outsiders Gilgit Baltistan is prepossessing and captivating. Allah Almighty has bestowed this implausible beauty to GB but the question is, what the rulers of pakistan has been doing for this territory since 1947?What government of pakistan has done to uplift this territory.
It is off no secret, in every era the beauty of GB has been dominating upon the grievances of Gilgit Baltistan. Whereas, the bitter reality exist is, no one never and ever tried to look its internal part where Gbians live. Likewise, no one tries to look the struggle of indigenous for fundamental and constitutional rights.
Conspicuously, GB looks miraculous but the secret beyond beauty of GB is only known to people of GB. People of GB know how much grievances this territory has toward center. Despite all this, we will underscore the unfortunate circumstances of people of GB. We will answer people of pakistan who reiterate one sole question. Why you people demand for province?What is the vacuum which you people want to fulfill via province.
The foremost and pivotal thing which we all have to understand is, why people around the world embark demonstrations?What are the reasons that compel youth, teenagers and widows with their children to come outside and rise clamorous slogans?Definitely, from prior and till now, people of Gilgit Baltistan have been demanding for GB as 5th province of Pakistan. But the question is, why they reiterate this? What is the reason that force natives to demand for this.
The answer is, people of GB believe that provincial status would resolve their myriad and chronic issues. Vividly, they firmly believe that the provincial status would erase their indelible, marginalize and deprive status. But history is full off massive examples, still there are provinces which are struggling for their sustainability in pakistan. However, there is also a misconception exist, giving provincial status to GB would week the claim of pakistan on kashmir issue. Whereas, the entire GB was part of Dodger’s state kashmir is historically debatable.
Realistically speaking, the fact is, people of GB do not demand province, if government of pakistan would have fulfilled their deprivations and reservations. Which with the passage of time only exacerbated. Palpably, successive and incumbent governments have been ignoring and trying to undermine grumbles of people of GB. Gbians have never been demanding for GB as province but demanding for fulfillment of their rights which with the passage of time only escalated. And from decades have become talk of town in GB.
Unequivocally, this is clear failure of government of pakistan which compels people of GB to soar hue and cry. Think for a while, we endorse there are immense impediment in the way of constitutional amendment. However, can you people answer what are the obstacles in the way of giving rights? Which Government of pakistan have been showing reluctance.
The grievances of people of GB and marginalize status of GB is the reason why we come out on roads for even necessities. Ostensibly, you people should not be astonished if I say even necessities. Yes, In today’s busy and digitalized world we have to consider some comforts in the list of necessities. In GB’s institutions quality of education is rare and unknown element which we have been facing since 1947 because of the negligence and deliberate acts of rulers of pakistan. There is no single medical and engineering university found here.
Besides this, Government of pakistan proclaims, in Gilgit Baltistan there is high literacy rate than other provinces of pakistan. Fortunately, as I have also condemned this proclamation and revealed the actual truth about high literacy rate in GB. In live PTV morning show which was held on 26 August, 2021 at 11:00am. More than this, For education, medical treatment and for better living standards we have to move toward metropolitan cities. But, Is this a permanent solution?
How long we will migrate merely for secondary education and for necessities. However, quality of education and access to it are the foundational issues that must be tackled. Gbians Reiterate for legislative, financial and administrative powers via 18th amendment. Gbians demand for that system which can uplift them as comparison with other developed areas of pakistan.
Keeping all these vulnerabilities, seats for GB students in different universities and institutions must be increased until the failure of government of pakistan to give equal rights. Disappointedly, world is going toward modernization and development but still people of GB are escalating vociferous voices for their constitutional rights and natural rights.
It would not be wrong, if I say pakistan is a place where people have to come on roads and raise slogans for even basic rights rather then comforts and luxuries. Consequently, except people of GB it is implausible for outsiders to understand how much prosperous and marginalize this territory is.
