The Snake Girl

There was a time, her heart was light,
A cat girl playing in tender delight.
With furred companions, soft and pure,
Their honest love a gentle cure.

But winds of fate began to shift,
To a jungle dark, her life would drift.
Where cunning masks and shadows play,
And innocence fades with the light of day.

She sought the love she used to know,
From creatures lurking, hearts aglow.
Yet venom hid in each embrace,
A silent threat in their deadly grace.

Without her poison, she could not fight,
No fangs to strike in the dead of night.
But with her song, she learned to bind,
The snakes that sought to twist her mind.

Though pain resides in this cruel dance,
It fuels her strength, her second chance.
For every wound she learns to bear,
Becomes her armor, fierce and rare.

The Senorita, once soft and shy,
Now walks with serpents, her head held high.
A Snake Girl born of trials grim,
Her spirit strong, her heart within.
